Evolved gas analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004139
A thermal analysis technique that involves monitoring the gases released from a sample as it is heated or cooled under a controlled atmosphere. The evolved gases are typically detected and identified using techniques such as mass spectrometry or infrared spectroscopy. This method provides information about the thermal decomposition pathways and composition of materials.
