Functional genomics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004711
A field of molecular biology that aims to understand the function of genes and their products, such as proteins, and how they interact to produce phenotypes. This approach often involves high-throughput experimental methods to analyze gene expression, protein-protein interactions, and gene knockout studies. It complements structural genomics by focusing on the dynamic aspects of gene activity.
