Hazard communication standard

A regulatory framework that mandates the provision of information about hazardous chemicals to workers and employers. This standard requires chemical manufacturers and importers to evaluate the hazards of the chemicals they produce or import and to communicate this information through labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and training programs. In the United States, this standard is enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
