HBD solvent

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005130

A hydrogen bond donor solvent, characterized by the presence of hydrogen atoms bonded to highly electronegative atoms (like oxygen, nitrogen, or fluorine), enabling them to donate hydrogen bonds. These solvents can form strong hydrogen bonds with suitable acceptor molecules. Examples include water, alcohols, and carboxylic acids.
