Laurence solvent parameters
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006487
A set of empirical parameters used to characterize the solvating properties of solvents, particularly their hydrogen bond donor and acceptor abilities, as well as their polarity and polarizability. These parameters are derived from spectroscopic measurements and are employed in quantitative structure-property relationships to predict solvent effects on chemical processes. They are often used in conjunction with other solvent scales.
