Catalán solvent parameters
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001699
A set of four empirical parameters used to quantify the effects of a solvent on chemical reactivity and physical properties. The parameters describe solvent acidity (SA), solvent basicity (SB), solvent polarizability (SP), and solvent dipolarity (SdP). These values are derived from solvatochromic shifts of specific probe dyes and are tabulated for hundreds of common solvents.
