Hepatic flexure

The sharp bend in the colon located at the junction of the ascending colon and the transverse colon. This anatomical landmark is situated in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, inferior to the liver. It is one of two main flexures in the large intestine, the other being the splenic flexure.
