Hit rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005322
The fraction of the compounds run through a screening assay that show the sought activity at or beyond a cutoff chosen in advance, quoted as a percentage of all compounds screened. Its value depends on the assay, the target and the make-up of the library. In drug discovery campaigns it commonly lies between about 0.1 percent and a few percent.
