Hyperreactivity

An exaggerated or abnormally strong response of an organism or its immune system to a stimulus that would normally elicit a milder reaction. This heightened sensitivity can be observed in allergic reactions, where the immune system overreacts to harmless antigens. It can also refer to increased physiological responsiveness in other systems.
