Hypotonia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013178
A medical condition characterized by abnormally low muscle tone, resulting in reduced resistance to passive movement of the limbs. This condition, often described as floppiness, is a symptom of an underlying problem affecting the central nervous system, motor nerves, or muscles themselves. It is not a form of muscle weakness, although the two conditions can coexist.
