Flaccid
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004465
Describing a state of muscle weakness or paralysis characterized by reduced muscle tone, diminished or absent reflexes, and a limp or floppy appearance. This condition results from damage to the lower motor neurons or the neuromuscular junction, preventing proper muscle contraction. Flaccid paralysis is distinct from spastic paralysis, which involves increased muscle tone.
