Hypothalamus

A small but vital region of the brain located below the thalamus, playing a central role in regulating numerous bodily functions. It acts as a control center for the autonomic nervous system and endocrine system, influencing processes such as body temperature, hunger, thirst, and sleep. The hypothalamus produces hormones that control the pituitary gland.
