Incoherent radiation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005762
Electromagnetic radiation where the phase relationship between different points in the wave or between different waves is random and uncorrelated. The waves do not maintain a constant phase difference over time or space. Common light sources like incandescent bulbs emit incoherent radiation, which results in a broad spectrum and diffuse illumination.
