Inert ingredient

A component of a formulation, such as a pesticide or pharmaceutical, that does not possess the primary biological or chemical activity for which the product is intended. These substances serve functions like solvents, emulsifiers, stabilizers, or carriers, facilitating the delivery or stability of the active component. In pesticide formulations, these ingredients are often listed by their common names or as a percentage of the total product.
