Information theory

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005834

A mathematical framework for quantifying, storing, and communicating information, often applied to chemical systems to analyze the complexity and predictability of reactions. It uses concepts such as entropy to measure the uncertainty or information content within a system. In chemical kinetics, it can describe the distribution of energy among reaction products.
