Interparticle porosity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005979

The fraction of the total volume of a packed bed or column that is occupied by the voids between the individual particles of the stationary phase. This volume is accessible to the mobile phase and contributes to the overall flow through the system. It is a key parameter in chromatography, influencing retention times and separation efficiency.
