Interspecific competition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005988

A biological interaction where organisms of different species vie for the same limited resources within an ecosystem. This struggle can involve food, water, light, space, or mates, impacting the growth, survival, and reproduction rates of the competing populations. Such interactions are a driving force in natural selection and community structure.
