Complimentary niches

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002327

Ecological niches occupied by different species that interact in a way that reduces interspecific competition for resources. This occurs when species use different resources or the same resources at different times or in different ways. Such arrangements can lead to greater biodiversity and ecosystem stability within a given habitat.
