Isokinetic line
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006192
A line on a map or chart joining points of equal wind speed, also called an isotach or isovel. Such lines show how wind speed varies across a region or with height and are drawn in the same way as isobars and isotherms. It is unrelated to isokinetic sampling, in which a probe's intake velocity is matched to the velocity of the gas stream.
