Isotherm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006221
A line on a chart or map connecting points of equal temperature at a given time or averaged over a period. These lines are used in meteorology to visualize temperature distributions and identify thermal gradients. Isotherms are also fundamental in physical chemistry, representing conditions where temperature is held constant during a process.
