Concave isotherm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002356
A distribution isotherm whose slope increases continuously with concentration, so the amount held by the stationary phase rises faster than in proportion to the mobile phase concentration. In chromatography it is the anti-Langmuir shape, which gives peaks with a diffuse front and a sharp rear, the reverse of the tailing produced by a convex, Langmuir-type isotherm.
