A chromatographic band asymmetry characterized by a less steep leading edge and a steeper trailing edge. This phenomenon indicates that the solute's distribution isotherm is convex toward the mobile phase concentration axis. It often occurs when the stationary phase is overloaded or when there are secondary interactions between the solute and the stationary phase.
