Chromatographic bed

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002045

The region within a chromatographic column or on a planar surface that contains the stationary phase through which the mobile phase and sample components pass. This bed provides the surface area for the selective interactions that lead to the separation of analytes. It can be packed with particles, a monolithic structure, or a thin layer.
