Gradient packing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004980
A chromatographic bed in which some property, such as adsorbent activity, particle size or composition, changes gradually from one part of the bed to another. It is a synonym of gradient layer, the term for such a bed in thin-layer chromatography. A plate whose adsorbent activity or layer thickness varies across its length is a typical example.
