Monolithic column

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007552

A type of chromatographic column where the stationary phase consists of a single, continuous porous rod rather than packed particles. This continuous structure provides a highly interconnected network of pores, allowing for rapid mass transfer and reduced back pressure compared to traditional packed columns. Monolithic columns are used in high-performance liquid chromatography for faster separations.
