Convex isotherm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002548
A distribution isotherm whose slope decreases continuously as concentration rises, so the stationary phase takes up proportionally less solute at high concentration, as in the Langmuir model. In chromatography this shape makes the high-concentration part of a peak travel faster than the low-concentration part, giving a sharp front and a tailing rear.
