Sorption isotherm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011062
A graphical representation showing the relationship between the amount of a substance sorbed by a material and its concentration or partial pressure in the surrounding fluid phase, at a constant temperature. This curve provides insight into the sorption mechanism and capacity of the sorbent. Common models include the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.
