Sorption constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011061
A quantitative measure of the equilibrium distribution of a chemical between a sorbent phase and a solution phase. It reflects the affinity of a substance for a particular sorbent material. This constant is often expressed as a partition coefficient, such as K_oc for organic carbon.
