Lentic

Relating to or inhabiting still, standing freshwater environments, such as lakes, ponds, and swamps. These ecosystems are characterized by minimal water flow, allowing for the accumulation of sediments and distinct thermal stratification. Organisms adapted to lentic conditions often differ from those found in flowing, or lotic, systems.
