Line-of-centres model
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006642
A simplified model in chemical kinetics that describes the collision between two reacting molecules, assuming that reaction only occurs if the collision energy along the line connecting their centers exceeds a certain threshold. This model provides a basic framework for understanding activation energy. It is a variant of collision theory.
