Make-up liquid
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006934
A liquid introduced into a mass spectrometer to adjust the flow rate or composition of the sample stream before it enters the ionization source. This addition can enhance ionization efficiency or improve the stability of the electrospray process. It is often used to dilute samples or to introduce internal standards.
