Pneumatically assisted electrospray ionization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009053
A variant of electrospray ionization where a coaxial flow of nebulizing gas is applied to the electrospray needle to aid in the formation of a stable spray. This gas flow assists in desolvation and droplet formation, particularly for samples with high flow rates or challenging solvent systems. It is widely used in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.
