Pneumoconiosis

A group of occupational lung diseases caused by the inhalation of dust, leading to inflammation, fibrosis, and scarring of the lung tissue. The specific type of pneumoconiosis depends on the inhaled dust, such as coal dust causing coal worker's pneumoconiosis or silica dust causing silicosis. These conditions are often progressive and irreversible.
