Asbestosis

A chronic lung disease caused by inhaling asbestos fibers, leading to scarring of lung tissue and impaired respiratory function. The disease develops slowly over many years after exposure, resulting in symptoms such as shortness of breath, coughing, and chest pain. It is a form of pneumoconiosis, a group of interstitial lung diseases caused by the inhalation of dust.
