Orthogonal electrospray
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008338
An electrospray ionization technique where the electrospray plume is directed perpendicular to the axis of the mass spectrometer's sampling orifice. This geometry reduces the amount of solvent vapor and uncharged species entering the vacuum system. It is commonly employed in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) systems.
