Pneumatic nebulizers
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009052
Devices that convert a liquid sample into a fine aerosol by using a high-velocity gas stream. The gas flow creates a pressure difference that draws the liquid into the gas stream, breaking it into small droplets. These nebulizers are commonly employed in atomic spectroscopy techniques like inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) to introduce samples into the plasma.
