Sprayer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011248
A device that disperses a liquid into a fine mist or aerosol of small droplets. This process is achieved by forcing the liquid through a small nozzle or orifice under pressure, or by using a gas stream to atomize it. Sprayers are commonly used in chromatography for applying reagents or samples, and in mass spectrometry for electrospray ionization.
