Cross-flow nebulizer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002716
A device used in atomic spectroscopy to convert a liquid sample into a fine aerosol by directing a high-velocity gas stream perpendicularly across the tip of a capillary tube containing the sample. This design minimizes clogging and provides a stable aerosol for introduction into a plasma or flame. It is often employed for samples with high dissolved solids or particulate matter.
