Spray chamber
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011246
A device positioned between a nebulizer and an atomizer in atomic spectrometry systems that converts a liquid sample into a fine aerosol. It functions to select droplets of a specific size range from the primary aerosol produced by the nebulizer, removing larger droplets from the gas stream before they reach the plasma or flame. The most common designs are the Scott-type double-pass chamber and the cyclonic spray chamber.
