Mass spectral library
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006994
A curated digital collection of mass spectra used for identifying unknown compounds by comparing their experimental spectra against reference data. Each entry in the library contains the mass spectrum of a known compound, along with associated information such as its chemical name, structure, and the instrumental conditions under which the spectrum was acquired. Prominent examples of these databases include the NIST/EPA/NIH Mass Spectral Library and the Wiley Registry of Mass Spectral Data.
