Mass spectrograph
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006995
An instrument that separates ions according to their mass-to-charge ratio and records the resulting ion beams simultaneously on a photographic plate or other spatially resolved detector. It provides a permanent record of the mass spectrum. This device was historically used for precise mass measurements and isotope discovery.
