Mass spectrometric detector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006997
A device that measures the mass-to-charge ratio of ionized molecules, providing information about their molecular weight and structure. It is often coupled with separation techniques like gas chromatography or liquid chromatography. The detector generates a mass spectrum, which is a plot of ion abundance versus mass-to-charge ratio.
