Mass spectrometry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006998
An analytical technique that measures the mass-to-charge ratio of ions to identify and quantify compounds in a sample. It involves ionizing a sample, separating the ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio, and detecting them. This method provides information about molecular weight, elemental composition, and molecular structure.
