Measurement resolution

The smallest change in a measured quantity that causes a perceptible change in the corresponding indication from a measuring instrument. It represents the finest detail that an instrument can discern and is distinct from its accuracy or precision. For a digital instrument, the resolution is determined by the least significant digit of its display.
