Median narcotic dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007129
The dose of a substance that induces narcosis (a state of stupor or unconsciousness) in 50% of a test population. This value is a measure of the potency of a chemical to cause a reversible depression of central nervous system activity. It is a key parameter in assessing the sedative or anesthetic properties of compounds.
