Miosis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007408
The constriction of the pupil of the eye, resulting in a smaller pupil diameter. This physiological response is mediated by the parasympathetic nervous system and can be induced by certain drugs, such as opioids, or by exposure to bright light. It reduces the amount of light entering the eye and increases the depth of focus.
