Parasympathetic

Relating to the parasympathetic nervous system, a division of the autonomic nervous system responsible for regulating involuntary bodily functions during rest. This system promotes 'rest and digest' activities, such as slowing heart rate, increasing digestion, and constricting pupils. Its actions are generally antagonistic to those of the sympathetic nervous system.
