Parasympatholytic

A substance or drug that inhibits the activity of the parasympathetic nervous system. These agents block the effects of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors, leading to symptoms such as dilated pupils, dry mouth, and increased heart rate. Atropine is a classic example of a parasympatholytic drug.
