Muscarinic
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007702
Relating to or characteristic of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, which are G-protein coupled receptors that bind acetylcholine. These receptors are primarily found in the parasympathetic nervous system, mediating effects such as decreased heart rate and increased glandular secretions. Muscarine, a mushroom toxin, acts as an agonist at these receptors.
