Molecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007528
A discrete, electrically neutral entity consisting of at least two atoms held together by covalent bonds. It is the smallest unit of a chemical compound that retains the chemical properties of that compound. Molecules can range in complexity from simple diatomic gases like O2 to large macromolecules such as proteins.
